As we come into this new semester, we come back to familiar faces. Friends, dorm mates, professors, but most importantly sisters. After a summer apart from each other, it's always a great feeling to come back to school and see your sisters.
Working our way through the first few weeks of classes, Homecoming creeps up on us. This year's campus theme is Mother Goose meets Mother Fair, and our theme from that is The Little Old Woman Who Lived in a Shoe. Alpha Gamma Delta's Homecoming 2013 candidate is junior Emily Puruczky.
Of course Homecoming is always stressful, between coming up with a theme and trying to organize people to get a float up, we have to make sure people on campus know to vote for Emily and Nick Hainsey of Alpha Sigma Phi (our fraternity partner for this year's Homecoming).
Our first philanthropy event of the year occurs during Homecoming week as well. Each year Alpha Gamma Delta hosts The Newlywed Game, where students are able to get to know their Homecoming candidates a little better. Lasting four rounds, each pair of sororities and fraternities and one independent pair answer questions about the each of the partners.
One Love,
The Sisters of Alpha Gamma Delta
