Alpha Gamma Delta presents Shrek: Homecoming 2012

For homecoming this year our school’s theme was Get Animated and the sophomore class decided to do Shrek. The sophomores dedicated their time turning our float into a swampy fairy tale. The seniors got to ride the float in the homecoming parade and show off all there Alpha Gam pride. Overall we came in third for our float! To make homecoming even better Jenna Meighen represented our amazing sorority as our candidate for homecoming queen.  From the swamp to the court she made her debut with Nate Herman, a Sigma Phi Epsilon brother, who is also one of our Alpha Gam man. We are extremely proud of our sisterhood for all the time and effort put into the homecoming activities!

Alpha Gamma Delta Fall Pick-Up!

The Nut House just got nuttier! This past Thursday, the sisters of Alpha Gamma Delta picked up seven new little nuts to join our sisterhood. We paraded around campus cheering louder than Old Main's bells and made sure that all of campus could hear us. The sisters of Alpha Epsilon couldn't be more excited to welcome Nuala Donnelly, Courtney Edmondson, Kassie Freyermuth, Alaura Hanssen, Jenny Jones, Brittany Majors, and Kalaway Voss, to Sweet Home Alpha Gamma!

Convention 2012

With our Alpha Epsilon Flag and Alumna!
Kirsten Medice (VP Campus Relations) and I went to the not so exciting St. Louis, MI from Wednesday, July 18th until Sunday, July 22nd. While we were there we learned a lot about how to become an active alumnae and how to successfully represent Alpha Gamma Delta on campus!

On our free day we did hit up the Arch which was large and metal--and that's about it. But it was a gorgeous view to look out of our hotel room and see that. While we were there we met a lot of new AGD friends, which I thought was the best part. I love seeing how other chapters do things on other campuses.

I couldn't be more proud of the Alpha Epsilon chapter. We were a five star winner, meaning we excelled in leadership, membership, philanthropy, scholarship, and sisterhood. We were a Jewel Chapter +, meaning we raised over $2,500+ for the Alpha Gamma Delta Foundation which supports Diabetes research. On top of this we were awarded Strive for Pi (meaning our chapter has a gpa of a 3.14 or higher) and we were placed on the honor roll and giving a "Rose Bowl" for our scholorship efforts (yay for our VP of Scholarship Emma Kohley).

Now I can't wait to go back to Westmister and share our accomplishments with the rest of our chapter and present them with new ideas we recieved at AGD convention 2012!
