About Our Chapter

Our chapter is filled with smart, beautiful, and ambitious girls who joined this sisterhood to gain lifelong friends, help the community, and prize ourselves on academics. The Alpha Gamma Delta chapter at Westminster College has had a strong presence on campus since 1925 when we were established.

Since then we have raised thousands of dollars for our philanthropy The Alpha Gamma Delta Foundation. The foundation partially gives funds to Diabetes Research and their goal to find a cure to Type 1 diabetes. The Alpha Gamma Delta Foundation also provides scholarships to hardworking women so that they can continue their education without the stress of financial issues. We raise money for this cause throughout the year during our Philanthropy events! Our best known events include The Newlywed Game in the Fall Semester (which is played by Westminster College's Homecoming Candidates) and The Singing Bee (which challenges participants on their lyric memorization) in the Spring!

We also are very dedicated in bettering ourselves academically. Recently we were awarded the "Rose Bowl" from the Alpha Gamma Delta International Headquarters for our dedications to scholarship. This means that throughout the country we are one of the top academic chapters! We are incredibly proud of this accomplishment.

Anyone who visits Westminster College can see the pride that is Alpha Gamma Delta. We like to think we bleed red, buff, and green. We have been the winners of the campus' Greek Week for the past 14 years! Not only does the Greek Week competition involve sporting events, but we also pride ourselves in raising money for Claire Hartner (Daughter of one of Westminster College's employees) in her battle with Cystic Fibrosis, as well as collecting items for the Lawernceville Crisis Shelter.
